Terms & Conditions


Acceptance of the conditions detailed below as per Scottish Law and Custom is implied when a booking is made.
We do not store your personal and financial information or share it with anyone.

Please limit your luggage to a small suitcase, maximum weight 15kg per person.
We reserve the right not to carry luggage that we believe to be overweight.
Day Tours: There is no provision for luggage. Small day sacs are fine.
You are booking and paying for transportation and the services of a driver/guide only.
Accommodation, meals, refreshments and entry fees are NOT included.
The cost of your accommodation is NOT included.
Booking Confirmation
Your seat reservation will only be confirmed when full payment is received by Skye Scenic Tours or an appointed agent.
Cancellation Policy
Scheduled Tours: A cancellation more than 14 days before tour departure 100% refund.
A cancellation less than 14 days before departure – at our discretion but typically no refund unless the seat(s) can be resold in which case 100% refund.
Private Tours: Deposits are non refundable. There are no refunds within 14 days of tour starting.
No refunds are offered if a customer is late for a tour/cannot find the pick-up point.
Check-in is 10 mins before the advertised departure time.
Skye Scenic Tours reserves the right to cancel trips under exceptional circumstances.
In such cases clients will be promptly informed and offered: a transfer to a substitute tour or an alternative tour provided by another tour operator a full or partial refund of any monies paid to Skye Scenic Tours. Skye Scenic Tours will not be liable for any travel or accommodation costs associated with reaching tour departure point or booked in anticipation of tour returning, even in the event of Skye Scenic Tours cancelling the tour.
Travel Insurance
Clients should have appropriate and adequate insurance to cover death, personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, loss of or damage to luggage and contents of same and expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of a tour.
Each client is responsible for loss of or damage to baggage or personal possessions or consequential loss arising there from. In the event of client illness or client injury then the client must accept responsibility for any medical costs incurred and Skye Scenic Tours shall not be liable to refund any part of the tour cost.
Health and Safety
Clients are responsible for your own safety when engaged in activities off of the bus. These are carried out at your own risk.
The group must at all times abide by the directions of the Tour Guide.
Skye Scenic Tours reserves the right to terminate a tour if, in the opinion of the company the behavior of a client or client group is, or is likely to be disruptive, dangerous or upsetting to other people or if such client or group have caused or are likely to cause damage to property.
Skye Scenic Tours will not pay any refund or costs incurred by a client in the event that a tour is terminated due to unacceptable behavior.
No smoking in any of our vehicles.
Age policy
The minimum age for our scheduled tours is 3 years old.
Passengers below the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

In addition to the above the following additional terms and conditions apply.
We reserve the right to change the type of vehicle used if the circumstances dictate this is necessary.
Alterations to Itineraries
We reserve the right to change timetables or tour itineraries due to weather, availability of attractions, roadwork’s or any other situation beyond our control.
Refunds will not be offered in these circumstances.
Online Bookings
If you book online within 24 hours of departure you MUST also phone Skye Scenic Tours (+44 (0)1478617006) to confirm your booking.
Cancellations & Refunds
Where the passenger cancels a tour reservation, the effective date of cancellation will be the date on which we receive notification by telephone, email or in writing.
Your notice of cancellation must be confirmed (in writing or verbally) as received by Skye Scenic Tours to be effective.
Day Tour Cancellation Charges
Where the passenger cancels on the day of departure 100% of cost will be charged.
Where the passenger cancels 14 days prior to departure a full refund will be granted by Skye Scenic Tours if the seat can be resold.
Every effort will be made to resell the seat but a 100% charge will be applied if the seat cannot be resold.
In the event of a tour being cancelled by Skye Scenic Tours the customer will be fully refunded and every effort made to find a suitable alternative.
All complaints should be initially directed to your driver/guide who will make every effort to resolve the problem.
